Introduction:-The evil of narcotics money on the social fabric, economic conditions cannot be over emphasized. Drug money is the lifeblood of drug cartels, necessary for operation and growth of their vast black market. Many countries have declared 'a war on drugs' by passing laws providing severe punishments. Billions of dollars are being spent world over to curtail the menace of drugs. Governments have concluded that one of the most effective ways to combat drugs is to control drug money laundering and forfeit drug assets.
